We are a Grow It Yourself group based in Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. We meet monthly to share our growing experiences and enjoy what we grow together. Our monthly meeting usually begins with a tasting session where the main ingredient is something homegrown. We discuss the month in the garden and our plans for the following month. A field trip, guest speaker and the "Orchard in an hour" campaign led by GIY & SAP Landscapes are just some of the things we got up to in 2016.

Gets the ball rolling, registers group, posts updates, in contact with GIY HQ, sends notices to papers, creates posters etc

Resource investigator: To Be Confirmed

Sources funding options, sponsorship, training, tools etc. for the group.

Recorder / Organizer : Sharon Heaslip

Records minutes and takes photos. Also makes sure the group has pens/paper, copies of anything they need and other items necessary to the meeting .

Money Person (s): Emir Mc Niff & Jacqui Curry

Collects monthly contribution, counts the euro’s and keeps simple records, sets up account.
