During Spring/Summer I will host more public events and keep the winter months as online/virtual based. Also, some of the mums I meet are not based in London so able to reach them via online resources. I am so happy and blessed to be on this journey and be able to reach so many others in similar situations. I aim to reach even more and hope there will be more support in place for mums, dads, carers, friends, family to provide the adequate care needed to encourage children with their speech and language. Not just go through the frustrations alone but encourage each other for the sake of our little ones.
Feedback from one of the mothers that I had spoken with on another of my meetings that I hold. I was able to connect and also encourage other mums as my son speech has improved massively and was able to give a bit of hope. We just shared the struggles and really just didn't feel alone. It was empowering and insightful. I will of course be doing more, have done 2 of these so far since September
This is a meeting that was held last month that went very well and was able to connect with a few mums. We'll be holding another this month (before the festivities) just do appreciate the year that we have all faced with these challenges.
I used the funding to get the first activity up and running. We held an event in the park then an event online. I am going to use the remaining funding to host another event next year to meet with local parents in Croydon. It's been very emotional with many mums I meet saying that they have not met other parents going through this and we have been able to support one another and really be a community.

ACTION PLAN
To provide a network of support for those effected about a child having a speech delay. Identify activities and highlight resources to promote speech in children aged between 2-5 years old.
• 2/3 hour play and chat session
• Sunday afternoon
• Different activites & games set up
• Resources to use at the session
• Resources to take home and work on throughout the month - until next meet up - share these ideas on EasyPeasy App
• Monthly themes
• Find out childrens interests - ice breaker?
• Gain feedback from adults and children to improve the sessions
• Ideas book for adults to share their own tips
• Raffle to fundraise for upcoming events
• Possibly sell activity packs? Low income families may not be able to afford it
• Promote through flyers on WhatsApp, Social media, nurseries, pre-school, Croydon Council newsletter?
• Sunday 21st August - first event? Local park
FUNDING
- Will allocate £100-£200 on activities, games and resources
- £50 on light refreshments
- Remaining £240 will go towards venues in upcoming months
