I’ll be there with my composting red wiggler worms. Visit my table and ask me about Worm Bin Parties!
Join us at a lovely vineyard that's both rural and close-by, just minutes east of I-35 and Corporate Woods exit. Our annual fall celebration is a wonderful mish-mash of “autumn-y” things, especially for gardeners. There’s a little something for everyone at this family-friendly event.
Garlic for late October planting - Learn the difference between hardneck and softneck, and the virtues of the eight different types. We’re offering “Music” Porcelain and “Chesnok Red” Purple-striped hardneck garlic. Get your free bulb and up to 10 bulbs for $1 each.
Pawpaw Tasting - The largest fruit native to North America, and one you’ll never find in the grocery store. The taste of a pawpaw is described as tropical - like a cross between a banana and mango - but it’s really a unique, locally-grown treat that simply must be tried during this narrow window while it’s in season!
Cover Crops - Hairy Vetch, Dutch White Clover, Crimson Clover, Winter Wheat and Winter Rye, and more - We’re sharing free seed and all the ways that cover crop contributes to healthier soil and a more successful 2023 garden bed.
Grape Vines - Create your very own mini vineyard with these mature “Edelweiss” grape vines. Edelweiss is a seeded green grape, perfect for fresh-eating and wine-making. Thanks to Victoria’s Vineyard, we’re able to offer this productive, hardy and disease-resistant grape for just $20 each. Order in advance and we’ll have them pulled, packaged and ready for you to pickup at the event. https://forms.gle/t6CBp5PgdsFiEEFe8
