We at the Friends Forever Childcare are dedicated to the healthy future of all the children who pass through our doors! We believe strongly that an essential component to that concept becoming a reality is giving the children the tools to understand where wholesome food comes from, how it grows and how we can transtorm it into healthy delicious meals.  Our GIY vision is to use all the food we grow in our daily meals at the childcare centre and hold cookery sessions for all our children and their families where the whole family can cook and eat a meal together. To help teach our early learners about how our food is growing in our beds and poly-tunnel, we have retained the services of a local artist and puppeteer to create a childrens book and carry out puppet shows on nature, seasons and healthy living. Working with the Family Support and Community Wellbeing Beara West Project, our GIY endeavour is new and ambitious and we look forward to our children getting stuck in this year!
