TechSpace is an after-school programme that takes place in youth clubs around the country every week. Kids learn about all elements of creative technology, focusing on maker kits, robotics, circuits, photography, film and design. They learn how to become makers, inventors and designers rather than just the consumers of technology. They also build confidence and important 21st Century Skills - including creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. Do you know how to turn a length of five bananas into a piano or how to make an apple scream when you stab it with a fork? These are just some of the things children and teenagers do at TechSpace!
If you are a youth worker, educator or a community leader passionate about technology, you can facilitate creative technology with young people by starting a TechSpace in your local area. In partnership with your local youth club, you'll join the TechSpace Shared Learning Network of over 60 locations where you'll receive training, support and all the tools and resources you need to get started!
