"A school growing project provides schools and preschools with a perennial garden that gives the educators a place and knowledge base from which they can include plants, growing and nature in educational activities. We look forward to supporting you and your project." - Paz Ojeda
The growing experts are responsible for all the planning of the space and and sourcing of the plants and trees. The planting takes 1-2 days, which is when you and your school will need to help out and involve your kids/students. At least one preparation meeting is needed in advance of the actual planting. Education videos and materials are offered.
Managers and planting experts of perennial plants visit the preschool or school to see opportunities, decide on placement, measure the area of the garden, etc.
Planter experts arrange a meeting with the assistant principal and teaching staff. Contracts and maintenance agreements are signed.
Finally it's time to evaluate the project. How did it increase ecological literacy and grow curiosity among children about sustainable cultivation, new foods and perennial crops?
