4-8 weeks: flexible depending on depth and breadth of your radio show
Once you've gone through the ChangeX 30 Day Challenge successfully, you'll be prompted to download your Radio Local Broadcasters Club pack. This is a fun and comprehensive guide enabling you to create your own radio show with your own group about everything you love and everything there is to celebrate about where you live.
The pack includes:
- Introduction to radio and broadcasting
- Content building games
- Programme ideas
- Radio skills for recording, interviewing and producing
- Tried and tested concepts to elevate voice and make it interesting
- Post production process and how to submit your audio
- Top tips
At the same time as receiving your information pack, you'll be prompted to schedule a Zoom call between your group and the Hunt & Darton team. Through this Zoom call we will:
- Outline the project
- Answer any questions
- Set out the plan to create your radio show!
After answering questions and planning with Hunt &Darton's team, it's time to get to work (well play!).
After sharing guidance on best approaches for you and your group, you can get planning, recording and connecting.
We are here to supervise all along the way if things come up.
It's now time to play to get the ideas flowing and then get recording.
To further support your radio creation process you will be be invited to join Hunt & Darton for an online masterclass including the following;
Content creation - offering a whirl wind intro into engaging radio content and fun ways to make it
Performance skills - to encourage and enhance performance skills to use for radio
Creating radio + broadcasting - part creative, part technical skills to make, schedule, curate and distribute radio
It's time to upload your audio efforts as per the pack and agreed timeline that would have been planned during our introductory call.
We will then receive your audio programme based on agreed curation vision and post-produce this in to your very own radio show to get onto the airwaves, platforms and share together.
After reviewing your Radio Show it's time to meet again.
The Hunt & Darton team will offer advice and steer you towards potential distribution routes/strategies for your radio show such as:
Community radio and how to work with them
Online platforms and what works best
Live broadcast and streaming avenues
Listening parties and creating events to celebrate and share the show
