So, you’ve applied for ChangeX funding to get your Play Library up and running… what next?
As part of your 30-day challenge, you’ll need to:
Build your team (you'll need 4 other team members)
- Who are the other play champions that work in your school or setting? Who will be a part of your team to get your Play Library up and running? Share our ChangeX page, our resources and website with them so they can learn more and get on board (e.g. your headteacher, early years lead or classroom teachers).
- Do you have any parent play champions in your setting who you could bring on board your team too? Who could you call on to share and spread the word?
Collate your project action plan
- We’ll get in touch with you to share a template and some helpful tips to support you with this. We’re also on hand to answer any questions to help get that action plan ready to go!
You’ve got your project action plan ready to go, you’ve unlocked the funding… what now?
Now the fun starts! We’ll book a 1:1 onboarding call with you to cover:
-
- Your Play Library delivery date
- How to launch and manage your Play Library
- Impact measurement
- Shared resources and materials
- Any questions
This call will be approximately 30-45 minutes and ideally take place over Microsoft Teams
There’s no need to wait until your Play Library launch to get the excitement building. We’ll provide you with a folder of resources and materials (posters, videos, social posts etc) that you can use to start sharing about the importance of play and your upcoming Play Library with your families over the holidays!
After your Play Library arrives, we’ll support you to host your family launch event. Launch events look different for every school and we’ll help you to launch in a way that works best for you and your families (i.e. a coffee morning, stay and play session, virtual meeting, drop and play or shared videos).
Your Play Library is up and running, great work!
Now it’s time to enjoy:
- Nurturing and establishing your borrowing rhythm (we recommend 2-3 days per borrow)
- Encouraging families to share photos/ stories/ feedback of their play
- Promoting play with families
The Boromi team are here to help with questions, ideas or suggestions, every step of the way. Happy playing!
