This Welcome Dinner at the Stables in The Fumbally, Dublin 8 is a wonderful opportunity to meet people living in your community over a shared meal. People arrive in Ireland every day but can find it hard to find their place in a new society, often not having the opportunity to meet and talk to others who live here. On the other hand, many Irish people do not know any newly arrived immigrants in their community. This dinner will bring together new arrivals and Irish natives to share food, culture and language.

It is a potluck dinner, so if you would like to contribute a dish please let me know ([email protected]) so I can coordinate this. Vegetarian food that arrives hot or is best served cold is simplest but we will have limited access to an oven so if the dish needs to be heated on arrival we can arrange for that, just let me know in advance!

There is a small charge for the use of the venue (set up, insurance, wash up and cleaning etc.) so we would really appreciate a small donation from dinner attendees to cover this cost (€5-10 suggestion or more if you can give it), but if you can't contribute please don't worry - we want this dinner to be accessible to all!

Please note: As the Fumbally is located in a residential area we need to be sure to respect the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum outside the venue. Parking is available at Tivoli Car Park (10 mins walk) and on-street (check pay and display times).
