Suggestions on how to organize

Organize a game of hopscotch to learn about HTQC:

• Prepare 4 areas as destination points. Each destination has 10 cards explaining 10 contents (1 concept, 5 characteristics, 4 principles). And there is an area for groups to post their group's results. In the results area, the teacher pastes/writes the name of each content on an A0 paper:

1. Concept.
2. Happy.
3. Meaningful.
4. Actively participate.
5. Social interaction.
6. Many opportunities to experiment.
7. Connect Learning through Play activities with learning content.
8. Encourage your children's autonomy.
9. Manage your children's learning effectively.
10. Arrange a positive, open learning space.

>> When groups choose an explanation card for each content, they will paste it into the corresponding sections of the A0 paper.

• 35-37 parents divided into 4 groups and lined up vertically (9-10 parents/1 group).
• The teacher will read the question:

1. What is Learning through Play?

• Parents in the first row of each group will hop to their group's area, choosing the most suitable card to explain what Learning Through Play is all about. Quickly go to the result paste area, and paste it on the - CONCEPT section
• Similarly, from question 2 to question 10, the teacher asked questions about the remaining 9 contents. Parents take turns in a row, hopscotching to the destination to choose an explanation card corresponding to the question about (2) Fun (3) Meaningful (4) Active participation (5) Interaction social (6)Many opportunities to experiment (7) Connect Learning through Play activities with learning content (8) Encourage children's autonomy (9) Manage children's learning effectively , (10) Arrange a positive, open learning space.
• After asking all 10 questions, the teacher and 4 groups review the answers to the 10 questions. During the process of reviewing each content, teachers can further explain to parents the concept of CQC, characteristics of CQC, and the 4 principles of CQC at home.
• If possible (with a computer and projector or TV), teachers invite parents to watch a video clip introducing HTQC.

The group with the most correct answers will receive a small gift.

Suggestions on how to organize

• Divide parents into 4 groups. Each group has a piece of A0 paper and draws a picture of a child.
• Parents discuss in groups, answer questions: done in 7 minutes.

In your opinion, what are the benefits of Learning through Play for children? What areas/skills do you develop for children?

• The groups agree and write the benefits on colored cards. Write 1 idea/1 color card.
• Ask groups to stick colored cards in appropriate positions on the children's drawings, depending on their understanding.

( Or the teacher places cards with 5 benefits written in the following positions: 2 cards “Cognitive Development” and “Creative Development” above the child's head; 2 cards “Develop social skills” and “Emotional Development” near the child's heart; “Physical Development” card near the child's feet. Then ask parents to place their cards in the corresponding areas on the picture according to their understanding.)

• Invite a group of parents to present, the other groups listen and give additional comments.
• The teacher concludes and moves the following cards: 2 cards "Cognitive Development" and "Creative Development" to the child's head; 2 cards “Social Skills Development” and “Emotional Development” near the child's heart; “Physical Development” tag near the child's feet.
• The group that has the correct answer and sticks the cards in the correct position will receive a small gift.
• To conclude this content, teachers can show a video clip introducing the benefits of LTP for parents to watch. In case the school does not have a computer or projector, the teacher will make a presentation on the benefits of the school system.

Suggestions on how to organize

Organize the activity "Mix and match" to learn about LTP activities at home:

 

• Divide parents into 4 groups. Each group has about 9-10 parents.
• Each group is given 2 sets of cards:

01 set of cards with names of 05 student development areas:

• Language development.
• Cognitive development.
• Develop creative skills.
• Develop social skills.
• Develop emotional skills.

The remaining 01 set of cards - 10 cards with the names of 10 LTP activities that parents can organize at home with their children to help them develop 05 areas (each area - has 2 activities).

• Parents discuss the content of the cards, choose activities to organize at home and match them to the corresponding development area.
• Groups paste the results on A0 paper. Four groups will paste their A0 papers next to each other and compare their results with the teacher's conclusion.

(Refer to preparation documents in Appendix 3).

• The teacher concludes by introducing some LTP activities that parents can organize at home with their children, perhaps using Poster No. 2.
• Groups listen and compare their group's results, checking the correct results.
• The teacher prepares 2 A4 sheets of paper: 1 sheet to write "AGREE" and 1 sheet to write "DISAGREE". Then stick 2 sheets of paper in 2 different areas.
• The teacher reads each activity in turn and parents should support the teacher when applying the CTQC system (Content of the activities - refer to Appendix 5).
• Parents listen to each activity and individually confirm their opinion by moving to the corner with the "AGREE" or "DISAGREE" sign posted.
• The teacher asked some parents why they chose to stand in the "AGREE" or "DISAGREE" corner.

 

• Teacher uses Poster #3 to conclude.

In addition to activities organized for parents to learn about Learning through Play, schools can organize activities aimed at comprehensive development for students in the school yard to create a fun and exciting atmosphere. for parents and students when participating in the Learning through Play festival. In addition, the school can organize play activities with coordination between parents and children.

For example:

There are 2 groups of students standing in 2 rows. Each group has 1 ball. The first member passes the ball to the second person and the second person passes it to the next person. Pass it in turn until the last person. The last person quickly ran up and put the ball into the basket. After 3 rounds, the group that puts more balls into the basket will be the winner.

4. Develop emotional skills.

Includes activities that help children express emotions and thoughts in a healthy way...

Activities help children identify, name emotions and express emotions

For example:

Draw your own faces of happy, sad, angry, surprised people... on cardboard or large pebbles;
