The Good Hope Foundation's style is always to begin with an end in mind. I will go back to our original mission an update this audience accordingly:
Good Hope's Fraction Ball Team Action Plan was as follows:
Timeline: The Good Hope Foundation will start the Fraction Ball project on July 23, 2023. The Good Hope Fraction Ball Team will meet weekly starting July 10, 2023. The milestones for the project are as follows: July 23, commence project planning and partner selection: July 30, 2023, partner selected, and work scoped: August 13, 2023, targeted Fraction Ball project completion. - The Good Hope team's mission was completed the last week of September with an October 2023 launch.
Budget: The anticipated large cost includes the sealcoating of the parking lot surface and the cost of the painting/application of the Fraction Ball logo/surface, along with the fraction and mathematics weatherproof placard boards, we anticipated the cost to range from $2,500- $3,500, which we were in line.
Impact: The Chicago-Englewood community will benefit from a safe venue that youth can play and learn at the same time, a much-needed safe space in an underserved area. As anticipated, the Chicago-Englewood community was excited to participate in this endeavor in an overwhelming fashion (i.e., 100-150+), prior to the winter of 2023. The Good Hope Foundation Fraction Ball Team had every intention of increasing the awareness of STEM, especially fractions, including mathematics) in the Chicago-Englewood community - A Hugh success!
Location: The Good Hope Fraction Ball project is hosted on the spacious Good Hope Foundation, Inc. private parking lot, located at 7101 South Union Avenue.

Hi Jesus,
I hope you are well!
Please allow me to connect you to Ed Clark, with the Good Hope Foundation in Chicago. Ed is planning to put a Fraction Ball court on his site as part of PLLAN's partnership with ChangeX. We just had a call and Ed is wondering if you have any recommendations for contractors who might paint the Fraction Ball court for him. I know the Chicago Playful Learning team has done some installations with paint on concrete, so I thought you might have some ideas for him.
I'll let you take it from here!
Take care,
Sarah
