A warm welcome on a cold night to all, the New Communities and Followers of The GreenPlan. With 80 new communities signed up for free in just over two weeks; it just goes to show the spirit of the community is stronger than ever!
Every week I will share some news and information and hope to keep all the new communities well informed. The plan is to have The GreenPlan Champions set up as Leaders - that can talk to their neighbouring community and help them get started too.
Late last year - our first community 'The GreenPlan Mulranny, Co Mayo; won Irelands most responsible village and overall best Tourist Destination at the Irish Tourism Awards. Imagine this time in a year or two, the impact of the latest 80 communities all competing for the same title?
How it works in a five easy to achieve steps:
1) Complete The GreenPlan Champion for Communities Course for free online, by clicking on this link: https://alison.com/courses/the-greenplan-champion-for-communities
The course is facilitated by our friends in Alison - the worlds largest free online training platform.
2) Download the toolkit with the full 'Step by Step' guide to help your community - save money by reducing their Carbon Footprint. Soon The GreenPlan toolkit will be available to purchase online for a nominal fee - for those that are not that into downloading PDFs and all that jazz.
3) Then -(those that haven't registered on ChangeX) please join up and let's get the show on the road.
4) Select a Flagship building in your community - remember to speak to the Landlord if its not a community owned project! Follow the presentations to track interest and then you are off.
5) Start the procedures for achieving The GreenPlan Bronze Certificate for your community.
