GIY are delighted to announce the launch of Community Classrooms 2020, a new campaign aimed at partnerships between community groups and primary schools who have access to a new, developing or established community/school garden.
Supported by the Tomar Trust, the Community Classrooms initiative aims to establish, support and fund a network of 30 community gardens around Ireland over the next three years that directly engage with primary schools and provide outdoor, living classrooms for pupils, staff and community members.
Each successful Community Classroom will receive:
Development fund of €3,500 to build and run a Community Classroom
School garden growing plan and associated curriculum resources
Applications are now open and will close on Fri 27 March 2020. But before you apply please read the application criteria to ensure you meet the requirements.

The video for the Today Show doesn't have to be any big production. Grab your mobile phone and head out to your community food growing space and tell us what you've done and what you'd spend the money. Don't overthink it, you already know how great your project is!

Energia get Ireland Growing applications are open until this Friday the. So many really great applications have come into us already. Don't forget that you can apply up to 5 pm on Friday.
You can apply for 500 euro, 1000 euro or 2000 euro funding. There is also 5000 euro funding with the Today Show, just add a 2 minute video to your application form to be in with a chance of the 5000 euro.
