Equip young people with the skills and commitment to solve problems with courage, compassion and collaboration
Peace First (formerly Peace Games) began as an annual festival to unite children to play cooperative games and share their visions for peace. It has since grown from an annual event into an independent non-profit organization under the leadership of current Peace First President and Co-founder, Eric Dawson. Peace First now operates in Boston, Los Angeles, and New York, and the curriculum is used by educators all over the world.
As well as the curriculum, Peace First have developed The Peace First Prize which is designed to showcase young people who have confronted injustice, crossed lines of difference, and had the courage and compassion to create lasting change. The goal is to share the daring work of these young people far and wide, invest in their leadership, and inspire others to make peacemaking a part of their daily lives.
The Peace First Challenge is the latest addition to the work of Peace First. The Challenge is a call to action for young people around the world to identify an injustice they care about and solve it using the tools of compassion, courage, and collaborative leadership, supported by a $1,000,000 venture fund to power their ideas.
