We run a school garden, with the help of teachers, parents and the local community. Our objective is to teach the children how to sustainably grow their own food, while respecting the environment, using harvested rainwater and promoting biodiversity. We grow green manure, and use natural fertilisers and seaweed in the garden to ensure a low environmental impact and high return in terms of crops. In doing so we want to teach the children about enriching the soil and working with nature.
