Bike Libraries will allow local communities to see the benefits of eMobility and encourage a modal shift without the upfront costs of purchasing their own eBike immediately. Support will be provided in terms of materials and tools to run educational and engagement activities for Children and Parents taking part in the Library, such as assisting with setting up of Cycle Buses, offering Adult Cycling Lessons for Parents who are interested in cycling but lack the skills to get involved. This will not only provide viable sustainable options to private cars to move around the city and bring children to school, but will also foster long term behavioural change through engagement and community building activities around the theme of active travel and sustainable mobility.
