The Parent PlayBox empowers parents of children ages 3-6 with a comprehensive kit of educational tools and resources to support their children's early learning, development, and well-being at home.
As Kids Collab and Learn to Play, we have embarked on a journey to address the critical gap in access to early years education in Africa. Our collaboration began in Dukwi Refugee Camp in Botswana and Kliptown, South Africa, where we witnessed the transformative power of the Parent PlayBox providing early childhood education to children in vulnerable communities and fostering improved parent-child relationships.
Learn to Play brings its expertise in harnessing the power of play to establish child-centred, culturally relevant playgroups delivered by their 'Maatla Mamas' in communities across Africa. With Learn To Play's Rainbow Play Approach, combining curriculum, training, and a specially-designed 'playgroup in a box', 'Maatla Mamas' are building brighter futures and affording children a chance to dream.
Meanwhile, Kids Collab focuses on improving physical activity levels and the overall health and well-being of young children. Our platform provides educators, parents, and caregivers with specialized programmes and resources designed to promote physical activity and holistic development.
Together, we deliver a holistic early childhood development solution that uplifts communities and empowers parents. Our initial collaboration in the Dukwi Refugee Camp and Kliptown yielded wonderful results, providing early years education to children in vulnerable communities and improving parent-child relationships. We witnessed firsthand the positive impact of our approach, as children thrived in stimulating educational activities while parents actively engaged in their child's journey.
These successes have fueled our passion to expand our initiative to other communities. We believe that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to quality education. We are committed to scaling our impact, replicating our approach, and nurturing the potential of children in various locations.
