We hosted our first dinners this weekend. What an amazing experience. It was a wonderful time together to share great food and engage in conversation. The kids played nonstop! My husband Umar and I, and our sons Elan and Luca, hosted Jonas and Diana, and their 3 beautiful children Joe, Alex, and Ester. Jonas and his family are from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and about 5 months ago they arrived as refugees in Minnesota.
Meaghan and her friends also hosted Kismat and some of his friends. Kismat resettled from Bhutan and has been in Minnesota for 6 months.
We can't wait for our second round of dinners. Please let me know if you are interested in hosting.
