Donal Cooper has 30 years experience of horticulture and 20 years of beekeeping, in three different counties. Born in Cork and now settled in Ardagh, Co. Limerick, Donal and his beekeeper wife Cathy keep bees in their large garden where they have planted lots of different bee-friendly plants to encourage all kinds of pollinators. He will tell his experience of a challenging year in 2015 in beekeeping and how he coped with the vagaries of weather, poor mating and poor honey harvest.
