For anyone who missed the Webinar last Wednesday 25th April, Covid-19 Reponse By Working From Home - please follow the link below to access the presentation deck and the video.
The deck and video from this evening's event Wednesday 1st April, Getting Prepared to Work Remotely, will be available shortly and will be posted here also.
We will be sharing some learnings on moving from working in shared corporate office to working remotely this Wednesday at 6pm. All welcome 🏠👍.
I would really encourage anyone who is working remotely or wants to work remotely, to join the Grow Remote Slack Channel. You will find the link on the Grow Remote website.
Watch out for the AMA (Ask Me Anything) channel. Employers talk about what it is like to work in their companies, there are tips on how to apply, transferable skills etc.
Some sessions are by chat typing questions and answers and others are on Zoom video link calls. At the moment there is typically an event every week plus a ton of information sharing from the overall Grow Remote on-line Community.
Definitely encourage anyone to get involved.
You may find some useful resources on the link below. A webinar on remote working aimed at employers but also of general interest, was co hosted by the Pulse Club and Grow Remote this week. The recording will be available soon on the site also.

I hope you are all keeping well during these challenging times. Covid-19 has brought huge change into all of our lives and each person and family is doing what is best and makes sense in each situation.
It has also meant a massive shift towards working from home and many people, employers and employees alike, are venturing into the world of remote for the first time.
There is a wealth of information now on-line. I would encourage you to join the slack channel, Facebook page and LinkedIn pages to follow Grow Remote and to avail of online seminars and discussions.
If anyone would like to speak personally to me about remote working please send me an email at [email protected] with your contact details and short description of your specific issue, and I will contact you back.
In the meantime, you may have read about the how Amazon is prioritising it’s products for shipping and distribution. As more and more people seek to have goods delivered directly to their homes, Amazon have a need to hire more staff including work from home customer service roles.
Here is the link to those roles if anyone is interested, please share to anyone you think may be interested.
Stay well and if you need support for remote working you are welcome to get in touch.

Hi Remoteurs ! Did you catch the news yesterday? US company HubSpot expanding in house and remote roles across Ireland. This Boston based company has grown steadily over the last number of years.
I spent some time there a few years ago as part of a Customer Service focus week they were having when they invited CS leaders from other companies to share and discuss beat practices, what works, trends etc. It was a great experience, my director at the time dialled in on video call from the US, while I was in person at the Dublin office.
There is a very positive energy there and a very strong focus on the employee as an individual, work-life balance, employee development and customer experience.
It is a very strong endorsement for remote working that they are launching remote roles across the country and they join companies who have gone before them in Ireland such as Apple, Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Scraping Hub and my own alma mater Wayfair.
These and other companies doing likewise, are at the forefront of a major culture shift in Ireland and the opportunity to work for a US multinational, if that is what you desire and so many of our graduates have done and continue to do (myself included), no longer means you have to move to Dublin or Cork or Galway to a world of sky high rents, congestion and a more complex way of life.
This is really great news !
There will be a session on slack questions and answers for anyone interested to find out more about the jobs and working at HubSpot.
First you need to join the Grow Remote Slack Community and then be ready at your keyboards on Thursday 12th March from 6:30 - 7:30pm !
