BeechPark Allotments GIY Group Wildlife Garden and Pond
A group of hardy allotment owners at BeechPark Allotments spent the other Saturday working on the next stage of the Wildlife Garden and Pond. The day was spent levelling and laying donated patio slabs and building a Pergola using donated timber.
There is still some work to do on the patio to get it right and then we want to build a couple more raised beds from the donated timber. In the spring these will be filled with topsoil and planted up. The pond is doing well and is slowly starting to mature.
At the end of the day had the Pergola up and looking good; the plan is to plant it up in the spring with plants that can be trained over the top and sides.
