We are excited to showcase our team model for FLL Explore Challenge 2022 and be a part of the fun regional event on April 16th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET at the Bricks 4 Kidz in Ashburn, VA.
Please stop by to see us. Our team name is M.A.A.A.R.S! Meet us to know our story :)
Our team has completed their solution for this year's challenge. The FLL explore challenge this year was Cargo Connect. The team started off their journey by understanding the problem statement and brainstorming on their solution. The initial funds have helped us to source all the Lego related materials to complete this challenge successfully. The team also learned how to program and code in Lego Spike essential using both the drag and drop interface and the coding interface. The team learned how to brainstorm on problems, vote for solutions, work as a team and truly create an impact.
The team will also be presenting at different local events and they are showcasing it to their school friends. This is creating a huge impact within their age group for kids to learn more about robotics and programming which will overall increase STEM awareness in elementary aged kids.
My mission as their lead coach is to create a broader awareness in the STEM field and develop a passion and love for solving everyday problems using technology and programming. Overall, I want to create a fun and challenging environment for our future leaders.
Hello, we are so excited to almost be completed in our journey of creating the solution. The team has worked hard over the past couple of months to come up with their innovative models. They have built various different transportation modes and various destinations well. The team has embraced the core values very well and most of all have fun all the time :).
Hello, our team has completed making the truck and the sorting center so far based on the team guides. We are currently brainstorming on adding some safety into the sorting center and also using some other creative transportation means to distribute cargo. It has been so much fun seeing the kids think through their solutions and use various core values in action every class. Looking forward on 2022 and showcasing at the multiple local events.
Hi, our team met yesterday and completed creating the truck and we also discussed the different modes of cargo transportation. The team has started to brainstorm on their team name. We will use the voting mechanism next week to finalize our team name.
We also discussed core values and a impact statements from a child in the group was "we can help improve our cargo transportation system and make it super fast, efficient so that we can transport goods sooner to people in need". Looking forward to our next group meeting.
Hi Shweta, my daughter Jia is in grade 4 and is extremely interested in joining an FLL team. Can you please kindly let us know what we need to do to join your team.
We completed our first action item from the kickoff meeting by completing the registration and ordering the Lego Spike Essentials kit. The team will begin their weekly meet starting Oct 3rd. The team members are currently reviewing the season theme and videos of the challenge.
