GIY will meet next on Saturday June 8th at 10.30 in Airfield. We are delighted that Patsy Grogan will be speaking to us about bees and bee keeping. Patsy is a very experienced bee keeper and has given us very informative and engaging talks in the past about the importance of bees for our gardens and about the art of beekeeping. I am sure it is a talk we will all enjoy.
We will meet as usual at the entrance to Airfield at 10.30.
GIY Dundrum will be meeting on Saturday May 11th at 10.30 in Airfield House. This month we have planned a plant and seed swop. Please come along an join us even if you don't have anything to swop as there is always an opportunity to chat about what we are growing (or failing to grow). Looking forward to seeing you then.
There won't be a meeting of GIY Dundrum in Airfield this Saturday (April 13th) as we are visiting a member's garden. However, we hope to see you in Airfield on May 11th
GIY will meet next on Saturday March 9th at 10.30 in Airfield. We are delighted that Patrick Hunt will be speaking to the group on the topic of 'Gardening for Biodiversity'. Patrick is a very lively and engaging speaker and he brings great enthusiasm and knowledge to all his talks. You can following him on Instagram @biodiversity_and_gardening or find his website: https://www.patrickhuntgardening.com/
We will meet as usual at the entrance to Airfield at 10.30. Patrick is a professional speaker so we are paying him for the talk and so we would be grateful for a donation of €5-€10 towards his payment.
GIY Dundrum will be meeting on Saturday February 10th at 10.30 in Airfield House. This month we will have a short talk from Scott Bryan from Community Roots which connects garden owners with garden-less budding growers living nearby and looking for a patch to grow their own food. It sounds like a great idea and they have a lovely website that is worth checking out. We will also be discussing our vegetable growing plans for the year and if you have an seeds to swop please bring them along. Looking forward to seeing you then.
Happy new year to you all! Our first meeting of 2024 will be on Saturday January 13th at 10.30 in Airfield House. If you have any seeds that you can spare (even if they are out of date) please bring them along for swopping.

Hi everyone - sorry for the late notice this month. Tomorrow (11th November) is the second Saturday so we will meet as usual in Airfield at 10.30. No special plans for tomorrow but we haven't had a chance to chat about our own gardens and vegetables for a while so it will be nice to have an opportunity to do that. Looking forward to seeing you then.
