Hello.
Clay here.
I live in Crystal near Cavanagh Park. In fact I'm the Park Pride Volunteer for Cavanagh Park.
Retired but busier now then when I worked. I never needed a calendar when I worked. I do now!
Join us on January 2 at 1 PM for a bus trip for a tour of the Brooklyn Park Recycling Center. Contact the Broadway Village office at 763-533-8230 and let us know you are coming so there is a place for you on the bus!
Still not sure where meetings are held. Not familiar with Broadway Village. Meetings may be difficult during the day, still working a bit. The idea sounds good. Moved to New Hope just over a year ago, and am trying to find activities. Jim
Clay, thanks for your entry on the Broadway Village Men's Sheds. I can imagine there is a lot going on with this being June with all of the local events. The Broadway Village Men's Shed has been dormant during the pandemic, but the other Men's Sheds in Minnesota have really come back to life in the last couple of months! Please send me your email address and I will send you the last couple of National Men's Sheds Newsletters and stories and photos of variety of different activities that the different Sheds have been doing. I'd like to get "our group" back together and going again, and having your participation would be terrific. Internationally, and here locally, Men's Sheds live by the principals of inclusiveness, diversity, and providing a welcoming environment to everyone who wants to participate. Karen Miller, the Activities Director at the Broadway Village apartments, has been interested in growing the Men's Shed that she sponsors there by inviting neighbors, as well as residents, to join and participate in the Shed. Welcome aboard!
