We’re a bunch of people who believe remote work is a powerful tool for community development. We’re mostly interested in rural areas and permanent (employed) remote work. Grow Remote is a national advocacy group with local chapters, including this one that focuses on the Ennis area.

Remoters! Friday is nearly here, and monthly local meetup is ON for Friday at 7pm(ish) in the West County https://www.treacyswestcounty.com Swap the online for the in-person conversation with fellow locals who might just like the opportunity to socialize after work from time to time.
Reminder to also find and follow us on Facebook if you're there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/GrowRemoteEnnis/
Folks, ICYMI, check out Owl Labs' 'State of Remote Work' report. The 2019 report is specific to the US market, BUT the insights are useful, and the 2018 report was a global overview.
2018 report here: https://www.owllabs.com/state-of-remote-work/2018
(we'll have to lobby them to include Ireland in the next wave of global research!!!)
Folks,
Thumbs up for all who turned out for a lively discussion and meetup of the Ennis Area Grow Remote in the Rowan Tree last night.
Delighted to see many familiar faces AS WELL AS new ones, too. Thanks to Ciara McGuane and Margaret O'Brien for joining and enlightening us about the new co-working space in the Ennis Chamber as well as their insight and contribution to the overall discussion.
Thanks to Ciara at the Rowan Tree for providing the meeting space-- if you've not been there for lunch or dinner-- I personally recommend that you give it a go-- you won't be disappointed!
Please spread the word about Grow Remote and extend an open invitation to friends, colleagues, clients, others you know who are interested.
+++++++ NEXT MEETUP is 8PM on Friday September 27th in Temple Gate Hotel +++++++
I will be going also
