Speaker Bios
Speaker 1: Rowena Hennigan
Rowena has been working remote since 2007 and currently lecturers (virtually) in Remote Work Skills and Best Practices for TU Dublin. She also works as a project consultant to a variety of international clients. She is looking forward to the opportunity to present the new undergrad module "Future of Work" to the chapter and discuss the training needs for future remote workers.
Speaker 2: Jennifer Dowling C. Psychol., Ps.S.I
Jennifer Dowling is a chartered Work and Organisational Psychologist. She currently works (full time and part remotely) as a consultant with Vitae Consulting a Cork based company who work with organisations in a designing, developing and implementing projects in the areas of organisational design, selection, development and HR support. Jennifer has a research background in the area of flexible working, time perceptions and management of remote and digital workers.
Jennifer is also co-founder of The Box CoWork Killarney a new co-working space recently opened in Killarney town centre. The space which opened Sept 2019 is growing rapidly and already has 22 full time community members.
Excited by how the workplace is evolving and the growth of ICT enabled work, Jennifer can see both the challenges and the opportunities that are presenting for individuals, organisations and communities. She is currently working with Skillsnet Ireland to developing training that will be available to organisations nationally in the area of remote working.
A member and supporter of the GROW remote community Jennifer is passionate about enhancing the work life of others and brings this to her role as both a coach, consultant and co-working space co-founder.
