Hi, I have recently moved to Waterford from Cork, and have always wanted to know more about gardening and horticulture. I did study horticulture whilst in college as part of my course in Herbal Science but as I haven't been practicing it over the years any knowlege I had gained feels lost to me. My father was an avid gardener and I used to enjoy helping him tend to his fruit and veg plots before he passed away. I would love to attend any events I can in this group to learn more about GIY and hopefully pass the knowledge onto my daughter who is 5 and my son who is only a baby but in time! ;-) Would love especially if you can bring kids along as I don't always have a babysitter! :-) Glad to have joined anyway!

I moved to Carriganard Waterford a year ago from Yorkshire England. I am a very keen gardener and am passionate about growing my own fruit and vegetables. We are planning to have our house extended and renovated in the Spring but have already established a productive garden. I would love to meet with like minded individuals. I have been trying for a while recently to find news of when this group meets - used to be first Wednesday of the month, but also where. I did go to a meeting a good while ago but I gather the venue has changed. Any information would be gratefully received.
