Just to let you know that our next meeting will take place on September 22nd and will be a foraging walk in Airfield. This was a hugely popular event last year and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended. The walk will begin in Airfield at 10.30, and there is a €10 per person charge, as Airfield provides a guide for us. Please email us if you wish to attend and let us know if you are bringing friends or family so that we can estimate numbers. Payment is made on the day.
If you are attending the Festival of Food in Airfield this Saturday or Sunday please look out for our poster and say hello to members of the organising committee who will be there at various times on Saturday.
If you are a Facebook user then we hope you will visit and like our new Facebook page which has been set up with the help of Rosa Stephens. The page will help us to get information about our meetings out to a wider audience and we will use it to include information about gardening tips, events that might be of interest to members and our own monthly meetings.

Welcome to Ali and Joan and everyone else who has joined GIY Dundrum since our last meeting.
The monthly meeting of Dundrum GIY will take place on Saturday next, August 11th in Airfield at 10.30. We will focus the meeting on how our vegetables have managed in the drought and warm weather and there will be an opportunity to exchange tips and ideas. It is also time to start thinking ahead to our schedule for the Autumn and Winter so we would love to get your input on what topics would be of interest to you and your suggestions for speakers. We have been very lucky so far this year with our excellent line up.
Please make a note in your diary that we have planned a professionally led foraging walk in Airfield for September 22nd. This was hugely popular last year and was a great success. All are welcome and I will be in touch with more detail closer to the time. There is a charge of €12 for this walk.

Welcome to Stephen and other new members of GIY Dundrum.
We will be meeting at our usual time of 10.30 on Saturday next, July 14th in Airfield.
Thanks to Ann McEwan from GIY Clondalkin who has organised a quiz for this meeting. Find out how much you really know about gardening and veg growing - hopefully we might also learn something new!
No prizes, just the fun of meeting others interested in veg growing!

The next meeting of GIY Dundrum will take place in Airfield on Saturday next (June 9th) at 10.30. This month our talk is on organic growing and we are very grateful to Jennifer from Organic Trust who will be speaking.
As ever, if you have seeds or plants to share please bring them as I know there are many people who will be delighted with some new plants.

Welcome to Niall, Bobby and Kate who have recently joined this group. Just to let you and the rest of the group know that the next meeting of Dundrum GIY will take place on Saturday next, May 12th. We will be visiting the wonderful community garden in St.Brigid's National School in Stillorgan, if you have not been there before, you may have seen it on the 'Grow, Cook, Eat' programme on RTE.
The plan is to meet at 10.30 in Airfield as usual and to go from there to St.Brigids. This means that we can car share or anyone who doesn't know the way can follow someone who does.
