the impact the pocket forest has had on the community is it has created a discussion around biodiversity and our local environment. The pocket forest is situated on a walking loop around the village and people are observed reading the signage and identifying the species involved. it is flourishing as can be seen by the photos attached and was commended on our recent Tidy Towns report.

The group objective is to develop a Pocket Forest adjacent to the roundabout at the ring road on the Dublin Road. This is an area of waste land.
Seed funding will be spend on initial site securing tree saplings and bushes. This seed funding will be supported by other monies received by the group through fundraising. See photo below, missing from photo is John Hennessy (not on social media) and Tom Brennan
