We live in a crucial moment in the Health of our Planet. Nothing is more important than preparing society for the changes necessary to reverse ecological maladjustment. Bees represent the most important vector for the maintenance of Life, due to the role of pollinators they perform. They pollinate approximately 90% of the Atlantic Forest vegetation. And they are excellent indicators of the state of degradation or environmental quality. At the same time, they are great "teachers". They replace the human beings who live with them, as a positive cog in the complex system of Life. From living with bees, people start to PLANT, preserve, restore, teach, care, produce and consume responsibly, gradually reducing the pressure that our model of life exerts. In short: they lead to a sustainable way of life. This project aims to provide all the necessary support for setting up Didactic Meliponaries in educational institutions. An outdoor laboratory for Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Ecology, Sociology, Geography, Mathematics, History... In short, directly and indirectly, it covers all areas of knowledge. Created in wooden boxes, they hide a universe of social and symbiotic interactions that stimulate students' curiosity. When opened, they open up a wide range of lines of study and research to support pedagogical projects. But maintaining a Meliponário requires care, delicacy and constant and perennial dedication. Institutions interested in participating must explain their environmental actions, develop a sustainability program and justify their interest through a detailed project. Institutions that meet the basic physical space and human resources requirements will be pre-selected to receive a visit from a consultant to finally begin implementation, preceded by community training. After implementation, the institution will receive technical support from the consultant for a period of 12 months to guarantee the health of the bees and develop autonomy for tutoring by the institution's own team.
