With this project, you'll reimagine what a simple 20-feet-by-8-feet parking spot can be. Choosing from four designs, you can turn the parking spot into a space for play, a space to expand business, or merely a space to be. The foundation of the design will be from the digital fabrication library Wikiblock, but you'll bring the colour and unique spin to the design.

Timeline: We are looking to start this project immediately. We are currently looking to find companies in Ireland who fabricate parklets. As we are a residents committee we currently meet quite regularly and intend meeting weekly during our parklet project. We aim to have the project completed by the end of the summer.
Budget: We aim to spend the full budget on fabrication. Under our local council “Adopt an patch” program, the intended parklet location is under the control of our residents association & no permit is required. As of now, we have no estimate cost of fabrication.
COVID: We are following current Irish covid guidelines
Expected impact: This project will have an extremely positive impact on our community. The area we intend placing the parklet has undergone use chance is
recent years. What was once a dumping ground and areas for antisocial behaviour, is now a community meeting space with a safe area for children to play, reflection bench and Tree of hope. Parklet seating would enable us bring all this individual projects together, providing a community space for our residents to sit and endorse our thriving community spirit.
Location: As mentioned above, the location will be in our “Adopt a patch” area. No permit required
