We have a diverse group of educators, parents and kids coming together to support the Growing Green in AZ project. We are evolving a master schedule of classrooms where kids learn in project based learning environment. We would like to use the seed money to purchase the Tower Garden kit, with lights and three seedling starter kits. The project would be supported in each classroom for six weeks, with the help of two parent volunteers, the teacher, and an experienced Tower Garden grower. It would be a seed to meal program teaching: science, math, economics, world outreach, environment conservation, while instilling patience, positive care for the living Tower, and strength development. We have three committed classrooms for the 19/20 school year. We were so fortunate to be able to meet at The Grove Coffee Shop. There is a community garden there on site that shares its produce with the community on a in-kind donation basis. This is a photo of our daughter's heirloom tomato and yummy squash.
