Action plan:
Timeline:
We are starting our project in March to run for a year, our team will meet fortnightly initially to get the project running and then monthly thereafter to carry out testing and awareness activities.
We hope to have at least two public meetings in May and September in conjunction with the Local Authorities Water Programme co-ordinator.
Budget: At this stage we expect to spend the seed money on promotional activities, meetings, posters, and public events. However this may change slightly as the project evolves. The remaining funding will be spent on raising awareness of the final results.
Impact:
One of the goals of Sustainable Enniscorthy is to highlight the importance of the Slaney for the community as a blue space and re-enforce the importance of maintaining good quality water for the Town. We will measure impact through our public engagement on our social media and at local events. We expect to run two events with attendance of at least 50 at each. We will also measure increase in web traffic to our website and the Freshwater project page that we will set up.
Location: The events will take place in the local library and at the banks of the River Slaney in the town, we don't need any special permission for these.
