Welcome to Plastic Free 4 Schools. We want to help your school to avoid single use plastics, reduce waste and maximise recycling. Your school can act as an ambassador in your community to turn the tide on plastic pollution by showing what can be done and by having fun doing it. So no matter the size or location of your school – find out here how you can get involved.

We are going to have another meeting after the fantastic day planned for second years, who are studying the global goals "life under the sea". They have projects and powerpoints to show to our twin school Millstreet, and will spend the day, exploring what we can do to help stop plastic water pollution....photos to follow!
The meeting was held on Tuesday and we decided to do the following
1. Keep taking the plastics powerpoint to all classes
2. Get the students at the BT Young Scientist competitions, to explain what their microplastics projects are about
3. We will have 2 speakers in, to talk about their plastic revolution
4. All second years, are being shown "Trashed" by Jeremy Irons, and will be at a twinning with Millstreet community school, where the discussion will be based on the Global Goals, 14 life under water and 15 life on land.
5. Posters and powerpoints will be on display in the college
6. We will make a functional sculpture from plastic, that can be used in the garden.
