Just an FYI...Angel's Cafe in Sharon does not recycle at all. They tell you to just put everything in the trash. Although very disappointing, they are happy to accommodate you if you bring your own cup as I did yesterday. I believe they will do this for food as well if you are taking it to go. I do love their food and drinks, just have to remember to bring my own cups and containers.

Ready to do a little more to help The Last Plastic Straw? How about writing to a few local restaurants? Here is a great article with scripts to help with the letter writing. The more of us that contact the businesses, the more these places will see that it is something their customers want. I am particularly interested in Mick Morgan's. Of all of the Sharon restaurants, they are the only one that automatically gives straws with all of their drinks, including water.

As the plastic straw movement gets stronger and more and more restaurants and people are looking for alternatives, paper straws are in such high demand that there are now long wait times for ordering them. Is any one else concerned that this will lead to more and more trees being cut down to make the paper straws? How do we promote the use and practice of bringing your own reusable straw instead?
