We’re a bunch of people who believe remote work is a powerful tool for community development. We’re mostly interested in rural areas and permanent (employed) remote work. Grow Remote is a national advocacy group with local chapters, including this one that focuses on the Ennis area.

Co-Working Day | Grow Remote Ennis Area Chapter
Connect with other local remote workers while working FREE for the day at Ennis Digital Hub, or even just part of the day. Complementary desk space for up to 8-10 people will be available to local remote workers.
Grow Remote Ennis Area chapter will host a co-working day event for local remote workers on Thursday 9th February at the Ennis Digital Hub (V95 VW74). We have arranged for one of the Training Rooms to be setup with 8-10 desks, allowing you to work individually, while allowing interaction and conversation with others – It’s always good to talk. People can drop in for an hour, stay for the morning or afternoon, or even spend the full day if your schedule permits. We have arranged lunch for up to 10 people across the road in The Peppermill, but please note that it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The more the merrier, so bring along a friend if you prefer - as you can still chat to others present if the desks are fully occupied. You can always reserve a hot desk directly in Ennis Digital Hub, or in any of the other ten locations in Clare, at https://digiclare.ie for as little as €10 per day.
Grow Remote is a non-profit social enterprise committed to making remote work accessible and supporting remote workers to live, work and participate locally.
John Murphy and Paul Ellingstad from the Grow Remote Ennis Area chapter will be present throughout the day to assist or address any questions you may have about remote working or Grow Remote in general.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Hi all. My name is Ben Panter, currently a firefighter with Clare County Council hoping to make the transition into the remote workspace via a Master's Degree in Technical Communication and E-learning this September.
I am no stranger to writing and media principles having completed a degree in Journalism and New Media in 2016 and contributed to publications and news services including Newstalk, Goldenplec, local print and radio including funding proposals and documentary production. I have worked on a freelance basis for many years with Changing Ireland.
Areas I have expertise in include, community development, harm-reduction and welfare, firefighting, construction, hospitality, business, and probably more.
I am hoping to build these elements into a career that allows me to work from home long after I have hung up my tunic and helmet.
Hey there, Here we are in Gorgeous Gort, at our Forgeworks offices. Forgeworks has 2 offices available for Daily/Weekly/Monthly rental.
Each office is private, high speed bandwidth, free parking, printing, shared kitchen and more.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Eamon Kennedy and I'm from Co. Tipperary, I am currently writing my master thesis at Radboud University in the Netherlands. I’m writing it on how trust, communication and control affected the performance of remote workers in Ireland during the Covid-19 pandemic. To complete this thesis, I need to conduct interviews with different people who worked remotely during the pandemic. I am therefore wondering if any of you would be available around the end of May for about a 30/35 minute interview via Skype or by phone.
Seeing as I am based in the Netherlands it is difficult to find people working in Ireland to interview so it would be greatly greatly appreciated. My email is [email protected] and my mobile is +353872437033 if you wish to get in touch. otherwise if you know anyone that would be able to help me please let me know (whether it is an individual or an organisation).
Thanks a mill in advance!
Eamon
