Thanks to Bob for a delivery of manure for the garden. I will be planting a couple of hawthorn (whitethorn) trees today if anyone feels like joining me?
Answering our call, thanks to Mary's donkeys and Andrew's trailer we took delivery of a pile of sh!te today for the garden and to help grow our potatoes ;)
Mairead and I started digging the "lazy beds" for the potatoes on Wednesday. You can see one side the turf is cut and on the other the turf is turned. After some local advice the "turning" is the way it was done locally to keep the grass from growing through. Thanks Bob!
We are planning to plant some potatoes in the new Community Garden using a lazy bed technique does anyone have a trailer load (maybe more!) of well rotted manure or some top soil we could use? If you would like to help please contact Owen 083-1372013
