The weather has been very changeable over the last few days! Wednesday morning was a crips and sunny morning, it was only 4 Degrees Celsius!! Recommend you wear gloves at it was very cold!! Attaching a picture after the Cyclebus arrived at the school, there are now 4 bikes in the bikeshed at Gort Community School. I also took a picture last year, and then there was only 2 bikes! If you are not already added to the Whatsapp group, contact Aoife and she'll add you!

We will be doing a short refresher training on Monday afternoon with the TY Students, to go over some basic bike safety, Rules of the road, brakes, and quick refresher on how to look- signal - look and answer any questions you may have !

It's only early days, but as you can see from these pictures, back in May 2020 there were 2 bikes in the bikeshed with a school of almost 1000 pupils and staff. Since we started the cyclebus for the TY students, there are now 4 bikes! We will continue the cyclebus ( weather permitting) and encourage anyone TY that live between Ardrahan and Gort to join us.

Hi all,

Attaching an image I took as we waited at Tannian's Forge /Cummins kitchens to join the cyclebus to cycle into Gort . We had a gorgeous day for it, let's hope it stays dry this evening also.. I took GoPro footage, just piecing this together! There is a hill at Kiltartan which isn't the easiest but all did well. Getting off your bike is no shame, it's a challenging hill!
