GIY Tramore first met on the auspicious date 1/4/09, April Fools' Day! We now have a mailing list of over 200 and a lively turn-out for our regular monthly meetings. We usually meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm and our current venue is Vicki Graham Stage School, Tramore Business Park but the venue can vary, so check on the event list for up-to-date information.
GIY Tramore also has a visible presence in the town in the form of a demonstration garden. In the junction between Upper and Lower Branch Road, there is a bed which has been adopted by the local group. It serves as an example of what can be produced in a small space and can look attractive as well. Any produce ripe for picking is there for anyone who would like it.
Welcome to GIY! We want to inspire and empower you to start growing some of your own food. Why not share the joy of growing with people in your local community, find out here how to start a local GIY group.
