Once we get up & running we will probably start at the Heritage Centre, Glasson.
I had thought of facilitating it here at my own place, but maybe best to operate in the village as it is more accessible for all involved..
I'd appreciate it if you can mention to anybof your friends who have an interest in growing, fruit or veg, or even flower gardening.
I've been to many other groups in the country & it's just very leisurely, supportive & great way of exchanging ideas...
I would love to have something of this available locally & believe we can if the right people show an interest & drive it
Once it is up & running, it will pretty much run itself- in that the members share ideas, plants, visits to others gardens etc etc ..
I'll keep you posted.

Well we have put the idea of a local GIY group out there.
Last Saturday I attended a Local Champions day with GIY Ireland in stillorgan.
Suggestions of putting a notice in the local free papers, parish news letters to spread the word to other like minded green fingered friends that could be interested in joining in us.
Plus I received a lovely invite from GIY Ballinasloe last evening to join them sone evening.
Their next meeting is Feb 17th, next Wednesday
I would like to go along & see what our closest neighbours are doing.
Let me know if anyone is interested.
I would hope to have our group ready to meet in March, pre Easter.
Regards, Grainne
