We’re so excited to invite you to start your own EasyPeasy Pod in your community, to come together with your peers to support and share with each other. Through your Create Challenge, your Pod will uncover the amazing ideas and advice that you already possess as parents, and share them with the wider EasyPeasy parenting community. Because we all know it takes a village to raise a child!

It’s planning meeting day today 9:15 at The Chapel. See you there, whoever would like to be involved. We will share plans on here for anyone unable to make it. 😊💕
Thanks everyone for a super day yesterday! Here’s a copy of the conversation starters (it’s an experiment - let us know what you think about these! And here’s all the harvest art, which is on its way to be displayed at St Mary’s for harvest. 🥦🍏🌽🍎💕 #TalkTopics #ConversationStarters #ChapelKids #HarvestCraft #FineMotor #Creativity #Thankfulness #Harvest
These are interesting, I know people always find asking about the school day hard. My opening questions have always been silly e.g. was it bogeys on toast for lunch? Did the school fall down? How was year 6 when they are in year r.
Today we changed the plan and instead of a harvest craft we decorated candle jars to help us think about our beloved Queen. It was lovely to listen to the children colouring and sticking on their pictures. They loved adding colours to the Queen and crowns and soldiers and had heard of Buckingham Palace and they even new what a corgi was! Top tip for home - Baker ross and other places have free downloadable colouring pages from the jubilee #ChapelKids #FineMotor #Creativity #Culture
#ConversationStarters what do you want to talk about? Today I picked “our world” and as an experiment I gave out these sheets to start a conversation. The great thing about experiments is finding out something new! What do you think? Good idea??? Most interesting one on her for us today was “where do you go locally to see animals and enjoy the outdoors?) share your gems below! Xx
Regular walks along the canal or the lakeside nature reserve means you can watch the cygnets and goslings arrive and grow. You might even catch glimpse of a kingfisher or watervole.
We love seeing the highland cattle on the ranges and visiting the fish and reptiles at the garden centre (both free!!)
Little time saving tip for birthday parties, get a cheaper traybake cake and precut it before the party and pop it in the party bags ready to go. That way you get to enjoy the last part of the party and still eat the birthday cake later!
Birthday tip I stole from elsewhere… instead of party bags give out a book each plus cake. A nice book will be loved and used lots. Eco, not too pricey, and you can personalise book choices :)
Planning! So exciting to listen to all the ideas on Wednesday. Gina and I are so excited to have so many people happy to share parenting tips and be a part of it. We are having a planning meeting at the end of September with a larger group - for everyone who would like to share ideas and be hands on in helping! Do share your ideas here or on our Facebook or messenger and text me if you’d like to join the planning meeting too.
A lovely morning and look at these beautiful masterpieces - recycled bottle turtles! (Thank you Kate for the photo!) #recycling #finemotor #turtlecraft #creativity #ChapelKids
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday, remember your plastic bottles for the turtle craft 🐢♻️💕
Hi Alex, I hope this finds you well :) I would love to connect with you and your Pod. Can we get a call in the diary if possible? Thanks, Steph
Evening all :) We’ve checked the hall bookings and sorted out timings. ChapelKids Parenting Pod meet-ups will be at The Chapel every Wednesday in term time 11-12. (Followed by lunch club and then more play time) Let’s try it out, and adjust as we go. We can fine tune after a few weeks. Keep the suggestions coming! I’m loving all the messages texts and pics!
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon! Xxx

We’ve had a lovely request for simple cheap recipes that you can cook with your preschooler! (Limited only by your tolerance for mess in the kitchen lol!) ideas and recipes welcomed in the comments! 👨🍳🧑🍳👩🍳🥪🥗🌭🥙🌯🌮🍏🍎
One of my faves is pitta pizzas. Just load up pitta bread like you would a pizza base 🙂 can choose toppings to your own taste and budget and easy for little ones to help with any chopping/grating/spreading of sauce etc
Development area: Communication
We communicate with sentences, words, body language, tone of voice… and by listening to others and taking turns to speak… there are so many great ways to build this skill. Songs, rhymes, naming games… what else can you think of?
Development area: Personal Social
Wow so many things to cover here. Some simple things like knowing what our emotions are called so we can talk about them… to sharing, taking turns, helping and caring… Have you got some examples and tips to share?
