With our GIY group in the Dockland area we’d like to bring people together once a month who’d like to learn how to grow their own vegetables and exchange some knowledge and experience. We've got so many questions about growing and getting together with other growers seems like the best way to get answers.

We’re still looking for more people to join the team to help organising our meetups, especially people with some growing skills would be very much needed as the team so far has big motivation in learning to grow food but very little experience.

Hi, Roisin! Thank you for sharing what you've been doing. It is very inspiring! I made this to help us to find a common date: https://doodle.com/poll/hy8nnx48n3ncs2ag So everybody can vote when it is better for you. The last meeting we used the Dog Lab space. I don't know if we can use there or another place inside the CHQ building.There are some cafés there. What do you think? I'm looking forward to knowing about the other GIY friends.

Hi Marina, I am definately up for a gathering! What day did you have in mind? People might be away for Easter but perhaps after that. Last weekend I built a vegetable box that I hope to grow stuff in. Excited to get peoples opinions. Lets get our hands dirty :) Roisin.

Hey everyone! We're planning to kickoff our next meeting at the end of March, to mark the beginning of Spring 🌱. Ground frost will still be a danger for most outdoor planting until mid to late May, but it will be the perfect time to start planning and thinking about seedlings to start indoors.

I'd love to get some input from everyone ahead of the next meetup. What should we discuss? Should we try and get a speaker in? Are we happy to continue meeting in Dogpatch Labs?

Good question Daniel. Possible somewhere closer to city centre, but hard to find as casual a venue where we have space and can talk.
