Our biodiversity garden is completed! We used the funding from ChangeX to complete the garden that was started by our TY class. We sourced plants, flowers and shrubs that would flower for most of the year, providing food and shelter for our pollinators. It has become a real focal point on the school grounds and cheers everyone up as they walk past it. It's planning and creating gave our TY Social Innovators a real hands-on activity during the school year, and they are very proud of their accomplishments.

We have cleaned up two sections of the school grounds to allow more space for wild pollination.

We will design a safe area within the school grounds to promote biodiversity. We will use the seed funding to plant perennials and pollinating flowers to attract wildlife...
We have incorporated this biodiversity module into our environmental and social science courses. Students will be actively involved in all aspects.

We have set up a weekly team meeting to discuss plans, following Covid safety guidelines as set out by the government.
