Welcome to Grow Remote on ChangeX! We're building a global movement to connect remote workers. We believe we’re in the middle of a seismic change in ways of working that opens up a whole new opportunity for a better quality of life, for remote workers and for rural communities. We'll help you do this in your local community by starting a Grow Remote Chapter.
Tracy Keogh, Founder of Grow Remote
Grow Remote connects remote workers, companies, and local communities so that people can choose to work where they want to live, and not vice versa. Remote work has the potential to create greater job opportunities across Ireland, and help reverse the decline of rural communities.
The biggest challenge for those who want to work remotely is isolation, and not knowing where to find the work. By building and promoting a community for remote workers, Grow Remote addresses these issues and encourages the creation and sustainability of vibrant rural communities.
If you're interested in attending network events, supporting remote working in your community or participating in remote working projects or just want to connect please join our chapter.

We had a really nice virtual coffee yesterday, chatting about the most random things but that's what it's all about. It was great to meet our newest member Caroline too . Anyway we'll be meeting up in person next month when Denis and Killian will fill us in on the Leading Remote Teams course that they are currently completing and Caroline will chat about her pathway to upskilling. Sorry, forgot to take the photo after you joined Caroline !
We had a really great day with Graham Harron yesterday in co:worx, sharing with us information on remote working opportunities and resources. Really nice to meet in person and have an opportunity to cowork together Co:worx. For those that couldn't make it we'll be meeting up again next month. Will keep you posted Thanks Luiz Roque for hosting
My name is Eamon Kennedy and I'm from Co. Tipperary, I am currently writing my master thesis at Radboud University in the Netherlands. I’m writing it on how trust, communication and control affected the performance of remote workers in Ireland during the Covid-19 pandemic. To complete this thesis, I need to conduct interviews with different people who worked remotely during the pandemic. I am therefore wondering if any of you would be available around the end of May for about a 30/35 minute interview via Skype or by phone.
Seeing as I am based in the Netherlands it is difficult to find people working in Ireland to interview so it would be greatly greatly appreciated. My email is [email protected] and my mobile is +353872437033 if you wish to get in touch. otherwise if you know anyone that would be able to help me please let me know (whether it is an individual or an organisation).
Hey folks, looking forward to joining Clare next week in Co:worx and it would be wonderful to meet you also.
If you are working remotely already come in and work with others for the day. If you are not working remotely yet but would like to then drop in at 12:30 for an info session on how we can help you find remote work.
Join us in our regular meetups, currently on Zoom. If you are interested in the idea of remote work why not link into our local, laid back and friendly meetings? It is a great way to meet new people.
