The food arm of Transition Town Letchworth. We have several projects underway: Growers market stall once a month in the town centre where people can swap or buy home grown produce. A linked growers support group currently called GYOG but will change it to GIYG, where we visit each others growing spaces and trade ideas, seeds, plants etc A Growers Guides advice service for people who need help to get growing. We will visit their gardens and give them some ideas of what they coud grow, where and how. Apple pressings in the Autumn: 2 public ones, often in Church grounds, plus 2 school visits. People bring their own apples and bottles and we do the pressing. ( We suggest plastic bottles for freezing). People pay £1 a bucket of apples.
