The AGM of Tulla Community Games was held on 12th January. There was a small but enthusiastic attendance at the AGM. The following officers were appointed
Brian Culloo - Chairperson
Breda Collins - Treasurer
Tony Cronin - Childrens Officer
Alison Donovon - PRO
Marie Nicholas - Vice Chairman
Terri Quinn - Assistant Secretary
The outgoing secretary Paul Caulfield announced he was standing down after 3 years in the role, but he offered to remain involved on the committee. As there was no nomination for the position of secretary, the Chairman adjourned the meeting.
The AGM will reconvene on Thursday 9th Feb at 8pm at St,Mochullas. This position needs to be filled for the future of Community Games in Tulla. If you have a child/children interested in any of the Community Games events, then please come along to the meeting. If we fail to elect a secretary the club will have to disband. If that happens, no children from the Tulla area will be able to participate in Community Games events for 3 years. Your support is greatly needed.
The AGM of Tulla Community Games will take place on Thursday 12th January in St. Mochullas National School, 8pm-9pm. Your support would be appreciated as we plan 2017 program of cultural and sporting events. Hope to see you there!
Congratulations to Kaylee Cahill on winning the Gold Medal in the National Community Games U16 Art Competition on Saturday. Kaylee shows what is possible when you practice and believe in yourself. She has worked hard for this success and is truly deserving!
Tulla had two other representatives; Vivienne O'Sullivan in U12 Art and Hugh Cronin in the U12 Backstroke. Well done to everyone who took part, we are proud of you all and we hope you enjoyed the experience and will strive to qualify again next year and aim to do even better. Paul, Brain and myself met the facilities manager from the secondary last Friday. They have agreed that we can use the general purpose area for our county draughts finals on Sat 25th. There is a kitchenette for tea/coffee facilities. There will be a caretaker there to open/close up. There are 16 movable tables on which four and maybe six competitors can be accommodated. There is also an annex room with tables and chairs available. Will you let me know if this is all ok, rgds Mickey.
