Scott Foundation has big aspirations and a different path for Arizona foster youth. We imagine a journey that changes the face of humanity and inspires our kids to be their absolute best today while making tomorrow's world a much better place for all. We imagine an education and societal system focused on the power of community rather than competition; and we imagine a world where children are taught we are not separate, but instead, we are all a part of something much bigger than ourselves - we are one.
Scott Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that invests in the initial 4-year future of Arizona foster youth who wish to make the world better than they found it. The foundation produces year-round experiential programming that highlights, inspires and educate youth on the importance of social emotional well-being, while mindfully developing their heart and purposeful career path.

More update as our kids worked hard this weekend with the community. Garden Variety Bees, Wild At Heart, Keep America Beautiful and Audubon Arizona were all onsite this weekend. Phase I of excavation is done. Top soil and mulch coming in next for the bigger trees going in... In the mean time, kids start working on the pollination plants that will go around the pond area. Nice job everyone!
Time to layout the pond! This morning The Pond Gnome, EarthSeed, Keep America Beautiful and World Wildlife Federation joined us to layout site plans and next steps for our Wildlife Pond. Great morning!
Step 1 - Concept/Site Plan
- What does ecosystem mean?
- How will it be used/serve others - animals, people and environment?
- Where will it be located?
- How big will it be?
- How deep will it be?
- What are the features we want to include?
- What are the plants both in and around the pond?
Step 5. Construction
- Layout the shape of the pond
- Plant surrounding trees
- Dig the hole
- Level the excavation
- Install underlayment liner
- Add rock and gravel
- Fill pond
- Connect pump
- Add plants
- Install Sponsor signage
Step 6. Post-Construction
- Inspect our work
- Reflect on the experience
- Celebration & Blessing
- Enjoy and get ready for the next project
