Neighborhood Forest is a nonprofit dedicated to giving free trees to kids every Earth Day. In the process, we beautify our neighborhoods, reduce our carbon footprint, and help instill in the hearts of our little ones a sense of magic, wonder, and love for the planet.
Since 2010, Neighborhood Forest has mobilized over 2,000 schools, libraries, and youth groups, reached over 750,000 families, and has given over 197,000 children in all 50 states (and 6 provinces in Canada) the opportunity to plant their very own tree.
Our dream is to reach every child in North America and eventually the world.
That said, not every child has access to a yard to plant a tree, such as those living in apartments. So, Neighborhood Forest has launched an Indoor Plant Program - an initiative focused on giving children a little piece of nature to care for inside of their homes.
