It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to The GreenPlan.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life and wellbeing on Earth for present and future generations by empowering your community to tackle climate change.
I often think of the phrase ‘the power of one’ and I think of how many times people have thought to themselves ‘what can I do’ or ‘can I make a difference’. The GreenPlan on ChangeX is a terrific opportunity for the individual to put a team together and for that team to take relatively easy actions that all join up to reduce emissions. The more communities that join up, the faster we can see real measurable impact and results.
I will be keeping in touch with all The GreenPlan Communities on ChangeX – so look out for regular updates.

8/10: Enniscorthy Tidy Towns volunteers gathered & recycled 105 plastic bottles, 175 cans & 15 glass bottles.
I took the bus to Dublin today too. Unfortunately I collected no medals but I did save some carbon with a 240km trip on shared public transport rather than travelling on my own in a car.
Train and bus day today. Myself and Billy were off the National tidy towns awards! Silver for Enniscorthy!!! Enniscorthy to Connolly approx 126km. We got the bus home 120km so 246km In total
Multiplied by two people = 492 km = 49 points on the green plan
A sustainable & successful trip! Congratulations to Enniscorthy Tidy Towns on your silver medal.

Our Slaney Kayak & Cleanup on Saturday 23 September with Enniscorthy Tidy Towns & GoPaddle was a great success. 27 people took part on the water and more took part on the bank to help get all the rubbish collected from the Slaney out of the kayaks & bagged for collection by Wexford County Council. Thanks to all involved. We hope to run this again next year. The feedback was great.
A great event

Can you add 17 cans from my walk home. Schools are definitely back! 😭
I recently borrowed the Home Energy Saving Kit from Enniscorthy Library and I'd highly recommend you add your name to the waiting list at the library to get a loan of the kit!
The kit includes a fridge/freezer thermometer, temperature & humidity meter, radiator key, thermal leak detector, plug-in energy monitor. There's also info on how to monitor water flow rates, a manual and a workbook to fill in your results which you can keep.
Only issue for me was that the 10 day limit of the loan flew by. But there is a long waiting list so appreciate you need to use what you can and pass on without delay!
